It's that time of year! While some were focused on setting their fantasy football playoff lineups, the NWLA announced the winners of their annual awards, the Wiffys! Not three years ago, the MNWA could only lay claim to 1/16th of a Wiffy (being included for 2014 event of the year) but those days are long gone as our national recognition continues to grow. There some Wiffys awarded to MNWA entities proper, and there were Wiffys given to players who cal MNWA their home. Without further ado, here are the MNWA players taking home Wiffys this year.

2017 @_NWLA National Player Nickname of the Year: "Dr. Dipshit" (HRL) @HRLTwinCities #wiffyawards
— NWLA (@_NWLA) December 9, 2017
Of course MNWA faithful know Dr. Dipshit as Andrew Johnson from the Buxtons. This is the second straight year an MNWA player has taken home this award, with Matt "Lulu Lemon" Newell taking it last year.

The SWBL DBax are made up of mostly MNWA veterans which includes Trent and Auston Steffes, Devin Nelson, Mat Peisert and Andrew Lindor. Along with Jimmy Cole from New York, our clowns are happy to receive this honor. We think the rain delay helped...

The SWBL and WSEM are tagged in this tweet but the photo cred for this award winning photo goes to Trent Steffes who took this moments before the NWLA Tournament Championship started.
2017 @_NWLA National Small League Team of the Year: Buxtons (MNWA) @minnywiffs #wiffyawards

Finally, the most prestigious honor the MNWA has received in NWLA. The Buxtons finished the year ranked #1 in the nation, which means they win the Wiffy award for the Small League Team of the Year!
Congrats to all the winners on this list and here's to a great 2018 which will hopefully warrant more Wiffys!
